In wheat there WAR a pretty good trail ? ,
the market having le range. The fcellne ;

The early news wns qulto bearish nnd

value to the priceof. the inunufueluied nrtl-

was arrested for a time. The weakness
continued during the lu < < t hour nnd May
wheat wont to Ct' c , or l'ic below the close
Saturday. After that It rose quickly to

209,000 bu. of cash wheat hero for rail ship
ment and 12 boat loads at New York for ex
port.
C'orn was rjulct and a shade easier with
wheat , but light receipts nnd free exports
prevented nny material loss. Trade , how
ever , wni dull and narrow. May opened
unchanged nt SO ic , sold to from 30c to
SO'.fec and off to UO'.ic. There was a little
rally during the closing hour nnd May re

Oats worn quiet and heavy. Inline-need by

Provisions were Inclined to weakness nt
the opening'on account of the unexpectedly

absorbed the olferlngs nnd prices held well.
Hut the heaviness of the grain markets In
the afternoon had a depressing effect , prices
declining before the close to the lowest Hg-

the rush for Kalllrs here and from Paris. This
