SCOTT CALLED DOWN AGAIN. The supreme court has granted to Attor ney William D. Beckett of Omaha a per emptory writ of mandamus , commanding Judge Cunningham R. Scott of- Omaha to settle and allow a bill of exceptions In the case wherein Scott had fined Deckett for contempt of court. On the 17th of August Scott Imposed the fine and ordered Heckett to lie In Jail until Tit was paid. Slnco that day Decltett has vainly tried -to get bis case before the supreme court. A bill of excep tions was prepared by his attorneys and pre sented to Scott , but the latter Insisted there was no necessity of hurrying In the matter. The bill of exceptions has alnca then been frequently presented to Scott for his signature , but without avail. Meantime the attorney general wrote Ucckett that unlera his bill cf exception ? was filed Ills appeal would be dismissed. Thus he was between two fires.
