Dealers nil exported liberal receipts today n account of the recent Ehnrii advance In irlccs. Nearly 3W cars arrived today. The wo days' receipts have been heavier than or the first two days of last week by 4,800 attic and 6,000 hogs. The supply of cattle was about 5,400 head , r 1,000 more than were here Monday , and bout 3,700 more than arrived on last Tues- ay. There were no right choice beef leers hole , but quite a few that were very rood killers , nevertheless. Itcports from lie cast were rather bearish , and this , with he liberal supplies here , made buyers Inde- iciulcnt. There was enough competition for he coed beef grades to prevent any mate- lul decline In values then , but when It ame to the poor to fair stuff sellers Bcner- lly had to make concessions. Prices were moven and anywhere fiom steady to Go and lOc lower than Monday. For such n icavy run , however , the movement was tol- rably brisk and a very good clearance was made. The cow market followed the lead of the teer trade nnd prices ruled weak to a dime ovver than Monday , the commoner and can- ilng grades being hit the hardest. Trading vas rather free , under a uood general de mand , and the sixty odd loads on sale vcro nil disposed of. The market was firmer or veal calves , but slow and lower on rough lock of all kinds. .There WHS not much change In the stacker nd feeder tiade. The demand from the ountry was vciy jpoU and d s raMe smooth eshy stock ruled linn. On the geneial rurf f stock cattle , however , there was a gen- ral softening of values consequent upon the ncreased receipts. A peed many catt e were aken to the country , but there were plenty eft In the pens to make n good starter on Vednesday. Good to choice feeders are uolable at $2.703(3.25 ; fair to good .3502CO , md common grades /rom $2.25 down. Hen- cscntatlvo sales : DRESSED BEEF. ' " Av. Pr. No. Av. IT. No. Av.
