The Southern Pacific company is making preparations to increase winter travel over the Sunset route amPto tills end will offer superior advantages to tempt the travelers nway from other rofds. The cars will bo vcstibulcd , with a first class dining car , a smoking car with writing tables and stationery , bath room und barber shops , and the whole- train will bo hct.tcd by steam and lighted by gas. The tlinu from Neiv Orleans to San Francisco will bo seventy-seven and n lull hours end sev enty-nine hours eastbound , The change will reduce the time to Now Orleans twenty-nine hours and to New York thirty and a half hours , giving the fume quick service as over the Central route. The receivers are still 1n New York grinding away on Hie clctnlls ol the system.
