This U the most suc cessful racing meet that has ever been held on the Sllssourl slope. Some records wore made "whleh will be hard to beat , and the people of Omaha , Council Bluffs and South Omaha have bean enabled to witness the racing qualities of the stars of the pacing and trotting turf. The credit of this meet ing Is duo lo Clinton Ilrlggs and his corps of osslstanls. Mr. llrlggs arranged the meeting In Hie face of great difficulties and carried out his plans In detail. Ho put up the purses out of his own pocket and stood good to lose a largo sum In case Uamo For- tunu did not smite on Ills efforts. A great deal of prejudice seems lo have been ex cited among turfmen , and they made the most dismal predictions. But Mr. Ilrlggs got togelher Iho finest string of speedy nags that ever assembled on any racing course and the races were so sensational In epeed and finish that the people began lo come out In great numbers and were sorry that the meeting did not last longer. Yesterday's orents were good ones , al- Ihough not so exciting as on the previous day. Good lime was made , bul a strong wind blowing up the stretch reduced the time from Iwo lo four seconds. For this reason the owners of Flying Jib and Allx did not start their horses ugattmt time records and a great , many people were disappointed In not gelling Id sec these wonderful animals at work. However , a race has been arranged between Allx and Hobby P for July 1 for a stake of $5.000 and It will be worth going miles to wllness. Directly , Iho 2-year-old pacing horse that won Iho fast race on Thursday , and Mr. Salisbury's pot horse , Aesop , were exhibited on the track wllh Flying Jib , Allx and Robby P. The first race was the 2:10 pace for a purse of $800 , with the following starlors : Online , b. h. , by Shadaland Onward , Ed Gould , Fullerlon , Neb. ; Fldol , b. h. , by Idol , Rlsenberg & Son , Cedar Falls , la. ; Laura T , b. in , , by Al Wcsl , Adams & Morrison , Scdalla , Mo. ; Weber Wllkes , blk. h. , by Penrose , Clarence Alexander , Dos Molnes , la. ; W W P , ch. g. , by Bun Loin- mend , Dullols Bros. , Denver ; Newsboy , d. g. , by Uretwood , Clinton Brlggs , Omaha. DETAILS OF THE RACING. This waa a walk away for the great On line and at no tlmo was he compelled lo show Iho limit of his speed. He won all Ihreo heats of the race and each time wenl under Iho wire under a strong pull. Fldol took second place successively and put up a pretty race with W W P In the second heat. Online has been showing In great form lately and ho seems destined to set a mark for some of the speedy horses lo pace al for an other year. Ho has gone a quarlcr In 02S ; and In Iho first heal yesterday he passed the half mile posl in 1:2U : , and In the third heat ho .covered the same distance tn the same tlmo. Had not the \\lml been against htm on the stretch and had any horse pushed him It Is said thai ho would have done a mile In l.ess than 2:08. : Newsboy did not show up as well as usual.
