The regular monthly meeting of the South
Omaha Live Stock exchange was held jester-
day afternoon. President D. S. ParKhurst In
the chair. C. R. Adams was elected a
member. Members of the delegation who
att nded the meeting of the Te\as I.he
Stock Growerb association reported their ex
perience. The committee's reciuest of the
association to mcmorallze the Texas railroad
companies for more equitable rates and suit
able shipping facilities , as all other
leiiuests , were clieerfullj granted. The com-
mlttco reported that assurance wai given
that at the next meeting , April 1C , 1895 , the
des'red changes would be mado.
The bocretary reported that 199 out of the
207 members had paid the last assessment.
A motion was carried expressing the
sense of the exchange that every stock
Inspector should register with the sccretarj
his authority to Inspect ami the territory
ho represents. A motion to change rule 9 ,
to road , "Tho commission on each car-
laid of mixed block shall bo CO cents per
head for cattle , 23 cents for calves and 10
cents for hogs or sheep , not to exceed 1C
per car for hogs or tlieep ; commissions
shall not exceed on whole cars thu sum of
$12 nnd no carload to bo less than $0. "
