In the general market one of the most im
portant moves was a drive against Chicago ,

bringing in buyers and causing a rally of %
per cent , which was held to the close. The

the committee and representatives of the
administration have agreed on the settle
ment , of the government debt for a blanket
mortgage bond for this entire system , hear
ing 2 per cent interest. . This will make the
government debt charges under the plan less

will be asked to accept the same blanket
mortgage bonds bearing 4 per cent per
annum in place of the present issues. The
