The bridal party then advanced to the front of the stage. The groom's toilet was Jeffersonian in its simplicity. Ho wore a smile anil everyday uniform of the Salva tion army soldier. Tun bride was also simply attired In full uniform , with the regulation txmnot. The frivoltlcs of fashion had no charms for her. A corsage bouquet of while roses adorned her dress. A white bilken sash with the inscription "United to God" completed the toilet. She was escorted by Captain Lily Mingles , llrst bridesmaid , and eight maids of honor. The chorus sang "Lily of the Valley" and other Salvation tunes. There was clapping of hands and vocal volleys , while that indis pensable adjunct to the Salvationist band , the bass drum , boomed deep-mouthed greet ing to the blushing couple. Amia a waving of Hugs and niu-h enthusl- asm , Major French stopped to the front. All was then respectful silence. Ho read the marriage ritual of thu Salvationist creed , and in a few moments Louis Blake and Stella Meyers were made man and wife. The groom tenderly bent over and im printed a kiss on the lips of his bride , The applause that followed was deafening. Mr. aiul.Mrs. lllako then spoke briefly , stating that they were happy.
