A. , etc. , and where is this Chicago university with the hog Latin name ? The "university" has material exist ence at No. 101 Throon street. It is a two-story and basement brick building. A multitude of signs describes it as a multitude of colleges. Two buard * lined up against a tree and looking like an overgrown Chinese- laundry sign , in blue , liroclaim the institution to pasersby grandiloquently. The conglomeration of colleges is "run" by "Dr.1' W. P. Harkins. At Throop street Mr. Ha-kins is the presi dent and superintendent of a business school. Its advertisements , circulated faraway , state that he is "chancellor" of the "National university ( modeled after the University of London ) incorporated by the Mate of Illinois , U. S. The incorporators - porators were some of the bet Chicagoans - ans , who pulled out on finding that Harkins was a fraud. Van Angelbank , Harkins and Black burn have figured in several of these degree giving swindles and it is but re cently that Van Angelbauk and Harkins were discovered to have sold national university degrees in Iowa. How rich a harvest they reaped from their exploits is not known. K.NAIT , 1'h , G. lilt ; Halt road suit. WACO , Tex. , March 13. [ Special Tel egram to THK Bni : . ] Suit has been brought by John M. Holt against the Houston it Texas Central Railway com pany ct nl. to make -1'1.280 acres of land donated by the state to the Waco it Northwestern Hailwaj company subject to the stockholders , of'that corporation. Holt is the trustee of the stockholders , who number JOO citizens of the city of Waco and the county of McLennan. The Houston it Texas Central got possession of the Waco it Northwestern and appro priated the land. The Northwestern railroad ha-- been separated from the Dillingham receivership and the stock holders are now seeking to recover its rights which had been wholly alienated. For convenience the suit was brought at Qiianah , the countv scat of Hadcmnn county , as the land m contest lies in that and adjoining counties. Ono of the largest of the stockholders of the Waco it Northwestern railroad is the city of Waco , which gave 8100,000 twenty years ago and issued bonds therefor , which bonds have just been paid and retired. Indian Trouliln In .Montrum. BILLINGS , Mont. , March 13. [ Special to THE BBE. ] The civH authorities of Yellowstone county have taken a hand in the Crow trouble. Coroner Chappel held an inquest over the bcnly of Little Face , the Indian who was killed on Wednesday. An examination showed no additional light on the circumstances of the killing as already related. All the Indians who made warlike demonstra tions in the vicinity of the tragedy have withdrawn to a point about ten miles from Wilsey station and appear to bo uncertain what to do. They have looted the deserted ranches and carried \ > 1T everything of use to them. Aibschier , the ranchman who killed Little Face , is in jail here and his examination will probably occur tomorrow. It is believed that the Indians will move away from the settlements nnd that they have about decided to give up the threatened raid. Dr. Woodward Orilcri'il to KnlturiLim. CAIHO , 111. . March 13.
