Miss Dandy could not have planned a more
charming affair for nor guest , Miss Richards

party which she gave Friday evening. It
was an Ideal night for such Jollity nnd the
gaj spirits who nndo up the party could find
no more Interesting topic to discuss jestcrdny
than the gai cty of the night before. Omuhn
has not been noted for Its fancy dresg par
ties for the reason , no doubt , that our girls
arc a wee bit Inclined to frown down any
thing thit will entail more work than is
usual in their sochl spheres , h nco a dearth
of what Is considered by many the no plus
ultra of delightful functions , the polo poudre ,

There was little attempt at elaborate dec
oration , hut what was most charming woio
the number of hastily Improvised nooks

colors suspended upon screens nnd liiMiiiant
cushions made tempting places for the "Idle

Rev. Dean Gardner officiated. Messrs. C. I' .
Halllgan and A. M. Hopkins acted as grooms
men , while the bride was attended by Miss
Blanche Grlftlth and Miss Emma Swoboda.
About fifty guests assisted at the ceioniony ,
and opinion was unanimous that never bildo
looked prattler than Miss Cornell as bho aji-
pearcd In roso-coloicd silk crepe , cntralno ,
with whlto roses , The attendant maids
were in whlto silk , with pink chryMintho-

served the guests. The presents woio many
and most of them sumptuous. The now
Ucnedlck is well known in Omaha legal and
social ciiclcs , and the cloud of congratula
tions ho received , mayhap , had just the
slightest tinge of envy of Ills good luck. Mr.
Crane was an uctlvo member of the late
legal firm of Moriovv it Ciano , and Is a
brother of Hopiebcntntho-olcct Thomas D.
