evening and considered a numoer of mat
ters in connection with the filling ot certain
lots that nro balow grade. Aldermen Tib-
bltts , Pace , Smith nnJ Uolso were the only
onoi present , und as there was not a quorum

could bo done. The meeting of the council
which was to have been held immediately
after bad to bo postponed for the same rea

doors are devoted to the first processes ,
the reception of the goods , sorting ,
