Wllili HUN SOLID INTO OMAHA , Tlio Milwaukee Pas sensor Trains to Arrive on New Year's Dny. The Milwaukee will commence running Its passenger trains into Omaha January 1. This i ? in accordance with an agreement entered Into between the Union Pacific and the Chicago , Milwaukee & St. Paul com panies nearly a year ago. The date for the operation of the agreement was fixed several times , but a postponement was occasioned by one reason or another. It has now boon dlflnltely arranged , bow- ever , that the Milwaukee trains will run solid from Chicago to the union depot in thia cltv , commencing January 1. The arrangement will prove of great benefit to the Milwaukee and to Omaha. Milwaukee Appointment ) ! . Hloux City and Dakota di vision , Tlio Switchmen's Troubles , The reported general disaffection among- the western switchmen is not generally qred- itcd by Union Pacific- officials , although that company has been having considerable trouble with moa nt various western points. At Ogdcn , Pocatcllo and Uock Springs the places of the striking switchmen have bcon lilled by new men and the business of the company Is being handled us usual without any delay. Tlio switchmen at Kawlius went out but their places were lilled promptly without any inconvenience- the company. There is no open disaffection locally or at other points along the line , but thcro may Do trouble if the switchmen Insist uponudo- mandfora radical advance in their scale 01 wages as they have threatened to do. The tariff on these articles from the Missouri to the Mis slssippl river will bo 15 cents. It is also announced that on packing house product going to the seaboard a rate of 11 cents from the Missouri to the Misslssipp river will be applied.
