The sug gestion was adopted and the commission will ask the lire and police commission to appoint two of the laborers , who will do police duty in addition to their other work. fTho Patterson-Caldwcll park proposition was again brought before the commissioners by Mr. Patterson , who claimed that under the contract , as prepared by the commission ers , the sum which it was proposed to spend was so indefinite that the could not entertain the proposition.
