During the year lSS9two official examina
tions by Insurnnco departments have been
made ono by the Iiisiirniieo Department of
the Stnto of Colorado and ono by the Insur
nnco Department of the Stale of West Vir
ginia Each of theseolllclal examiners was
aided by renowned actuaries nnd competent
experts , and In each Instance the Mutual Ko-
servo Pund Life Association roeolvcd a full ,
eomplclo and unqualified endorsement Its
books vveio pronounced correct , Its assets well
Invested , and Just ns stated by theonicers ,
its death claims promptly paid In full
OTHEU EXAMINATIONS
In addition to thu olllclal oxamlnations as

statements circulated by the enemies of tills
company , the well-known chartered account

sociation , in reply to the vailous circulars Is
sued by Its enemies to the effect that It did
not pay Its death claims lu full , published to

that went to each member of the assocl-

name of any honest death claim which was
duo and Hindi had not been paid lu full , tlio
fact to be determined bv any two bank picl-

standing reward being made has been pub
lished all over the world , yet up to tliepiescnt
time not ono single demand has been made
upon the association for this reward
During the past twelve months the
attacks upon your officers , also against
the association , its plan and sjslem ,
luivo continued and been more vir
ulent than In any year duilug tlio
piuvious eight years , it will be remcmboicd
that a systematic ) attack upon this associa
tion and Its officers was commenced by the
old llnu llfo competing system in 1881. Shortly
thereafter an escaped convict vras employed
and paid t2. > , O00 in United Mates bonds as
compensation for attacking tlio private char
acters of the officers of our association , as
well as for attacking the association and Its
plan nnd system Slnco Unit date every
means which could bo conceived by wicked
men has been employed to Injure the business
of tills association Wo have evidence where

tion as his prlco for robbing the aiehlves
of Its rocoids Those monopolistic represent
atives caused this theft to bo committed , and
I have since scoured tlio return of apoitlon
of the stolen records and an admission from
certain parties thereto , showing how the
money was raised and how the robbciy was
accomplished
During tlio past twelve months the crime of
forgeiy liaa liecu added to that of robbery ,
nnd illabiilleal conspiracies have been un
earthed on the put of these llfo Insurance
monopolies , I will refrain from giving the
full details In tills leport , Inasmuch us n full
oxpnso of these conspiracies , forgeries : and
thefts lias already been presented to tlio pub
lic , us well us to our members
It Is but Just to you to say that yniirman-
ageiiient.uhlle recognizing the fact that these
opponents of this company have many hun
dreds of millions of dollars nt their com
mand , yet no have decided to give them bat ,
tle lu our courts of Justice should they con
tluuu their diabolical plots to Injure mid de
