December advanced to 70 ' 6(3 ( < 0 c , receded to 70c , and on better cablet , un settled weather in England and further reports - ports about the Russian crop damage , moved jp to TO c. Then came u buditot of reports foreshadowing a huso movement of wheat from the country and the market began to case off. Thin bearish news eamo at a tlino when the scalpers wuro pretty well loaded up la anticipation of a substantial re covery. It was uccoinp'nnlcd by heavy soiling .orders from St. Louis , to which was added the speculative ) offerings of the local bear contingent , with Ilutchinson and Linn , and Place , the Pittsburg plunger , In the foreground , The result of the pres sure , moral and actual , was a brcalc of about IJ c In the whole list oLnctlvo futures. The weakness In futures was Intensified by the liberal selling of July against wheat bought ln the country and pointed this way. Mo- Henry had a big line to sell unit broke the market from 70 o to 70) ) * ) . There was a reaction of J < fc or thereabouts from the bottom , but not much trading was done after the break. December sold off to 77j ! o and September slid down to 75 f@ 75c. On tliu decline there was ho.ivy un loading of long wheat und towards the bottom tom scalpers very generally took their nroilts. There seemed to bo no disposition , however , to take in any of the important lines. Spec ulative Gcnilinciu Is decidedly bearish , prin cipally in anticipation of the approaching big movement of winter wheat. St. Louis has extraordinary statements to make about the wheat that Is going to bo received there. Thus far the actual receipts have fallen far below expectations , though Uio movement la increasing rapidly. It will have a hara tliuo keeping up with thoostlmatcs. however. The receipts at Minneapolis nra also looming up wonderfully , and n week or ton days contin uation o ( tlio movement at its present pro portions will clean out the country elevators ana leave very little grain to coino forward the 11 rat of August until the uoxt crop becomes comes available. The situation at Minneap olis Is strongly suggestive of a "cornor" in speculative grade there and prodigious ef forts are being made to crowd wheat Into that market for delivery on July contracts. Little wheat has gene to Minneapolis from hero and there is wild talk ot wholesale shipments. Cables wcro quiet und steady in tenor. New York had no export news of importance to communicate in this market. A fair degree of activity In the cash market is reported. Lake engagements for 00,000 bilshelH are reported and thu arrivals for Monday are estimated at 101-curs , the most ot which is now. The visible supply is expected to show a decrease of something like half a million bushels. The closing range of prices was as follows : July TOJi'c , August 75Vc , Septem ber ToJi' ' . ' and December 77Jjc. As compared with yesterday , this shows a loss of lo in September and % o in December. The total shrinkage in December since the market started thick three or four days ago has boun about 4 > ic. July has lost about Be. The corn market was very dull and ex tremely weak at the opening , with a fair show of strength , buttbo declining tendency of the wheat market gradually effected trad ing m the other cereal und was mainly re sponsible. for Us subsequent weak ness. There was a fair demand and only limited offerings of cash corn. Foreign ' markets we're Jinn and export inquiry at Now York was reported good. The pros pects arc generally considered good for the growing crop and this lays hack of the market and paralyzes any attempts at ad vances. Export clearances wore quite mod erate from Atlantic ports yesterday , but for the week amounted to l,439,5Ut ) bushels. Mora distant future ! ) felt the bear pressure in about an equal degree with seller July. The latter declined from % o to } { c and so also did September , the closing quotations being 5 c for July and 8oi (3ct5Xu ( for September. Oats were fairly active with a liberal speculative business recorded. The market" was nearly steady , although the early firmness was not fully sustained with receiving houses free sellers. On the other hand there was nn increase for May , with September shar ing in the activity , The Urst- named sold largely at ! T25j < c , while September de clined } 6@40 to 21-i. The next month was easy around 21 ? c , with July at about Jfo premium. Uccolpts were liberal , and No. 2 oats to go to store sold at 2i } c. Tno provision ir.ulo showed some Improve ment in tone. The moderate buying of pork by some of yesterday's raiders developed a disposition among tailers and miscellaneous shorts to cover , and with a better demand than expected the market naturally gained In strength. Pork was the most active article in the list , und on the call the transactions in it approx imated 13,000 , barrels. Lard and snort ribs nlso received fair attention , and. for Satur day , business all around made quite a good showing. Shippers' 'purchases of cash lard amounted to So5U tierces at $ (5.2JK ( ( < ilS-27X. Cash meats were again slow , HUb green hams being quoted nt 8J c and 10-lb sweet pickled hams ut 10@10 > c. In speculative lines prices as a rule experienced only limited changes. Pork at the adjourn ment stood unchanged as compared with yesterday's closing to 5o higher , lard un changed to 2Xo bettor and nhort ribs un changed to a ti-illo easier. TCTTT .TFnfirrrr Tg-1 A f . r TgTl A nP TVr-BTTq- ! - The treatment of diseases by electricity has undergone great changes within the past few years , and electricity is now acknowledged by all schools of medicine as the great remedy in all chronic , special and nerve diseases , for nervous debility , par alysis , rheumatism , diseases of women , etc. , and in many eye and ear diseases it is the most valuable of all remedies. In order to obtain its full virtues , it is absolutely necessary to have the proper apparatus. We have lately purchased three of thp largest and most complete batteries manufactured , so constructed as to give the most gentle as well as the most powerful current. Persons treated at this Institute by electricity recognize at once the difference between our expensive and complete electrical apparatus and the common , cheap batteries , in use by many physicians. Over 3,000 dollars invested in electrical apparatus. ' PRIVATE , SPECIAL , NERVOUS BLOOD DISEASES. We claim to be the only reliable , responsible establishment in the west making a specialty of this class of diseases. Dr. McMenamy was one of the first thorough ly educated physicians to make a special study of this class of diseases , and his methods and inventions have been adopted by specialists in Europe and America. He is the inventor of the Clamp Compress Suspensory , acknowledged the best in "use. All others are copied after his invention. By means of a simple operation , painless and safe , recently brought into use , wo cure many cases that have been given up us incurable by medical treatment. ( Read our look to men , sent free to any address. ) DISEASES OF THE EYE AND EAR. We have had wonderful success in this department in the past year , and have made many improvements in our facili ties for treatment , operations , artificial eyes , etc. We have greatly improved our facilities and methods of treating cases by correspondence , and are having bettor success in this department than ever before. We are fully up to the times in all the latest inventions in medical and surgical operations , appliances ancl.lnstruments. Our institution is open for invosliga- tion to any persons , patients or physicians. Wo invite all to correspond with or visit us before taking treatment elsewhere , believing that a visit or consultation will convince any intelligent person that it is to their advantage to place them selves under our care.v ' . , , . , , Since this advertisement first appeared , many boasting pretenders and frauds have tome and qone and many , morf will come and go , remembered only by tlieir unfortunate and foolish victims. .
