THE OUT.LOOK IS FOR LOW PRICES Corn nncl Onts Vnry But Ijlttta Tito Quiet FcclliiB Continues In 1'ro- vIslonH Cattle Suffer n. Blight Decline. CHICAGO rnonucE MAKKETS. CnicAoo , Juno 11. [ Special TolcRram to TUB line. ] The whont market ruleil lower to-day , with the period of Rrentcst weakness right nround the opening , when Juno was quoted at TOJi'c , July 75fQT5 c , and December - comber 75 @ 75 c. Vcry Jtttlo July could bo sold QDOVO 7f > ; c , at llrst , but that Quota tion proved to ho the Inslao for the day , nnd the market was n stubborn nnd Improving ono to the end. Trade was only of a moder ate volume , and the session was not product ive of sensational features. Cables wore neither ono tlilntr nor the othernnd domestic news was colored bcarlshly In nil particulars except the llrmness ro the cash wheat mar kets. Spot wheat and Juno wheat are at. n substantial premium over now crop do- llvorlcs hero and elsewhere In the West. The market news from the outsldo commer cial centers was not especially encouraghiK nntl public sentiment may bo said to gener ally favor the side of cheaper prices. The friends of wheat have not abandoned the field , however , nnd there was ; food buying. In some quarters It Is believed that strong parties nro "under the market , " with a view to running a deal , but this opinion Is not generally held , nnd , as a rule , it is openly ridiculed. The Idea of a deal is not popular , evem with these who would llko to see the market given u twist. The majority of these who operated luat winter and spring ou what somebody else was going to do , are still wearing scabs and scars. Thcro is _ more or less activity In the shipping line , but no transactions In volving big lines or oven good sized lines arc reported. The export clearances arc next to nothing to-day , though light loads are re ported na having been worked. Juno wheat sold up to TUJfc , and closed at Wytc , or % c lower than .yesterday. July ranged from 75 ? c up to 70@70Jtfc and closed at 7GKc , a loss of Kc , as compared with .Yesterday. September ranged ? ! % @ 74&c , nnd closed at 73&C , or JjCc less than yesterday. December Bold at 75 (3780 ( , and closed ut 7uc. The improvement lu the weather nnd the decided drop in wheat caused mi easier feeling to prevail in the corn market at the opening , but on the estimated receipts for to-morrow becoming known a firmer tone nnd advancing tendency look the place of the earlier weakness. The prlco changes were slight in the end from these ruling nt the close of the day before , but what alterations there were favored the bears , Juno and cash corn were unchanged , July nnd September each lost l-10c and Au gust j c. The fluctuations were narrow , us usual , nnd the interest In the market did not appear to bo widespread. Oats presented no important price changes and only a fair speculative activity was noted , the market ruling dull , and part of the time after opening a trillo easy , with some futures % c lower. There was an ad vance of Ma tij.fc , the firmness resulting principally from fair buying for the account of shorts. July vas the favorite , nnd the strength in that month helped the others a trifle. Juno touched 22o and July 22c , with some trading in September at the split each way from 22c. Receipts were liberal , grading chiclly No. 8 whlto and No. 2 oats to go to store were quiet and steady at 23 > @ 23tf c. In provisions tbo quiet feeling lately wit nessed is stilt the ruling feature. A little more interest was shown , to day , but there was no particular Increase in the volume of business transacted. Snort ribs were bought by "Wright and other shorts with some free dom , but the packer who was the largest in dividual buyer of this article , last week , found it convenient , or prices satisfactory , to drop a portion of his holdings ; nnd while a seller .of short ribs ho was , however , a larger purchaser than usual of pork. _ Lard was the slowest line on the speculative list. The local receipts of bogs fell under the expectations but the ar rivals at outsldo points made up In a meas ure for the deficiency hero. For the product , prices all around averaged lower than yes terday. Bttll , the decline actually sufforud was small , amounting from2' @ 7 } ein pork , and 2V c in lard. Short ribs closed unchanged to 2 > jo lower. CHICAGO liIVE STOOa MAKKKT. CHICAGO. June 11. [ Special Telegram to TUB HUE. | CATTLE. The lun was rather a surprise , as uo ono at all interested .looked for an Increase over the corresponding day of last week , but such is the stem fact and the excess Is largely made up of the lower gradoTexans. Tha run was divided , into about 5,000 natives nnd 5,000 Texans and the latter were in largo numbers at all points , assuring a big run for Chicago to-morrow. There was a fair number of big , coarse , range steers among the arrivals. Trade opened slow and ruled slow , at from a steady raise to a shade lower on all classes of fat cattle , seine salesmen quoting a decline ol lOo on fair to good export steers. Shipping order * were light and advices from the Eng lish markets were .not oncouraginj ? . Tcxans are rapidly approaching low water mark again , being quoted & to lOo lower and canning stock almost unsalable. Native butchers' stock , except a few fancy cows nnd heifers , followed the down turn ia Tcxans , generally spiling 10 to 15o lower.
