The death occurred in Ottawa , 111. , where the deceased lad resided for many years. She was a laughter cf the late Judge T. Lyle Dickey of Chicago , and sister ot J. J. DlcUoy , super- ntcndent of the Western Union company , of this city. She was about forty-flvo years of igo , and leaves n daughter grown to woman- lood. Early in the present year she was at tacked with paralysis , from which , however , iho revived , suffering , however , on Monday ast from n relapao. which resulted fatally. John E. Lloyd , the sheriff at Butte , Mon. , sent a telegraph to Chief Soavey Thursday night , asking him to arrest one Errick Peter son , who got $ C5 under false pretenses from ISray & Davidson , of that city and then skipped , buying a ticket for Omaha over the LJnion Pacific. His wife , a fourteen-year old boy and and three-year-old girl are with him. Peterson is a Swede and has been a section boss for some time. The tel egram stated further that Peterson would arrive hero at 7:30 : a. m. , and that if ho would give up the S05 the case would not bo prosecuted. At 7:30 : yesterday morn- ng when Peterson stepped off the cars ho was astonished to Uud himself accosted by name by an oflicor. Ho was laken to the police station , where ho ac knowledged his guilt. Briefly told , the Story Is as fol lows : After the outbreak of the civil war , Hondorshot , then only twelve years old , en listed as a drummer in the Ninth Michigan Infantry. Within a year ho was taken pris oner of war , discharged , and hud enlisted again. At the battle of Frcdcrlcksburg the "Drummer Hey of the Rnppnhnnnock" won his fame. Hcmlcrshot was not thirteen years old , but when volunteers were called for to build the pontoon bridge nnd to cross the Roppahnnnock In the face ot General Leo's soldiers on the other shore , this boy was the first to stop from the ranks and around him gathered the other volunteers , fn splto of protestho.insisted on being one to go on this dangerous errand and when ho returned ho was tno proud captor of n live , full-sl/od , able-bodied rebel soldftr. The Beautiful nnd Impressive Cere mony nt Trinity Cathedral. The services at Trinity cathedral yester day , commemorative of Good Friday , wore solemn and impressive , and particularly is this true of the litany service in the evenIng - Ing , at which Bishop Worthlngton , Deau Gardner and Rov. T. C. Brady officiated. The church was filled to the doors. Follow ing the litany the bishop prcauhcd a power ful nnd eloquent service on repentance nnd redemption. The music was magnificent. AS nn offertory , Gounod's grand celebrated anthem , "O , Como Near to the Cross , " was sung. This is ono of the most difficult works in the way of church music extant , and , so far ns known , has never boon sung by any choir west of Chicago , except that of Trinity cathedral , with any degree of success.
