taken to the police station and locked up.

The management of the "Trial by Jury , " in
behalf of thnSt , Andrew's Drotlierhood , tlc-
slrc to thank all those who took part , and by
their kind help contributed to the success of
the onera "Trial by Jury" and tlio farce
"Box and Cox , " also the Council 13luffs and
Omaha papers , Manager Dohany and Mr. C.
W. Dalby , to all of whom they are indebted
for courteous treatment and numerous
favors.
One of the local papers Is very anxious to
have Assessor P.itton Impeached. Some In
formation as to how it shall bo done would
lie very interesting , inasmuch as the assessor
bns settled up with the city for his last term ,
and has thus far done no work on his present
term. He is vii tually out of oftlee ut the
present time , so far as impeachment proceed
ings arc concerned , still it may bo that the
legal luminary who distributes his valuable
advice so lavishly through the columns of
that paper may have some as yet unheard of
scheme that will establish a precedent for all
luture cases ol a similar nature.

tion of Judge Carton was called to the mat
ter , and he ordered the court overseer of the

be understood.
