WrciiH in n CoffeiM'nt. A most peculiar bridal homo , wherein to UNO for a season and train up children , , is that described by a correspondent of the Forest and Stream. The xvrons presently diccovorod it , cntorodaiid xvero apparently ilollghtcd. It was evidently just the sort cf a house xvhioh they had boon looking. The "next day its furnishing was quite finished. They had lined it xvllh bits of feathers , shroxvds of wool and doxvny vegetable growths , and it was soft as velvet. Then one egg appeared , and then another , and the little dumo began bitting , while her husband , perched on tbo branch above the oolToojtot , poured forth song after song , flying away at in tervals to bring her a fat worm. When the little ones came , both father and mother began to feed them. They usually started from the nest to getherbut seldom returned at the same time. If the little man came first , ho soon grew impatient , and after delivering his ofloring would begin calling nor , loudly and musically. Evidently her name was uTitty-too , " for ho cried : "Titty-tee ! ah , Titty-tee ! " repeating the note until she arrived. Chataquan : In the twilight of an eventful August my attention was drawn to quite an unusual syllable sound ka , ku , kat , ka write Mary Thoat. The repetition was sharp and incisive indi cating that the musicians were young and full of life , and why they did not complete the sentence Katy did , Katy did it aroused my curiosity sufficiently to incite an investigation of the matter. Stepping out on the veranda I boon found Miss Katy on a vine which ran over the piaz/a. surrounded by a group of gallants. Whether she was a sad llirt and had brought the infliction on hor.iolf of bo many callers , or whether it was her own inherent lovlinehfi and beauty that atfr.iolod so many at the same time was not for me to know ; I could see only the result of some law or katydid etiquette which was inexplic able to mo. There xvoro five of these young suit ors looking precisely alike , and , so far as I eould * > co , no preference was shown to ono moro than to another by the fair Katie , who was seated on a spray of honey-suckle and embowered by an overhanging cluster of belated Ilo'woiv . Her visitors walked around her in a slow , courtly manner , with their long antontiio lying straight back ever their wings. But ovori little while ono and then another of the number would po- itoly salute her by bringing forward his antenna ) and gently waving it over her ; then would como the sharp chorus ot voices ka kat , kat all talking at once , when the suitor would subside and ronlaco his antuniuo over his back and tall into rank with the others. llapponjng to know that another female - male was not far away , [ secured her and placed her near this group , think ing thereby to dixide their attention. I put her below them , knowing her ten dency would bo to to wall ; upward rather than. down. She no f-oonor reached the party than the first Miss Katy began to rise up until nho stood on the tips ot her toes , looking like a young giantccs , and all the time waving her .uitonnaj as if to dismiss her , while the sharp click of the jnales resounded on ox cry side , as if as suring her of their entire devotion , and that they would not bo swayed in their loyalty by this unbidden guest. She did not tarry long , however , but walked away with a single follower , and only ono ot the gallants saluted her as she passed , touching tier with his antonnx.
