Gorman's spectacular minstrels opened up the season at Boyd's last evening to a very largo and enthusiastic audience. The first part was an innovation of the old stereotyped minstrel programme , and consisted of a med ley of catchy songs and dances and funny- isms. The audience attested to their appre ciation of the Messrs. Germans' new depart ure by continuous applause and laughter. Following this came a series of new special ties , among which was Arthur C. Kigby's monologue entertainment and the "Two Virtos , " both exceedingly clover features. The first concluded with an extravagant pu gilistic burlesque entitled "John L. and the Unknown. " Ad. Kyman , the hero of the old time minstrel stage , in hlspo'itical ' harangue , brought down the house. The terpsichorean specialty , "Tho Dancing Musketeers , " was also good. The Theory of Hoiid Agents Hldiculcd Uy CowhoyH. A now theory of the alleged attempt to rob the Union Pacific train near Hawlins , Wyo. , reaches Tun HUE. It comes from Messra. George McKinney ntul James Scales , two etockinon froui Itawllns , who are vouched for by an Omaha gentleman as reliable men. They were In South Omaha with cattle. Their story Is one that obtains In Uawlins. When cowboys , stimulated by the largo reward , sought the trail next morning after the shooting they could ilnd none nearer than a mile and a half north of the railroad track. These tracks were old and made by a mule and a horse with feet about the size of a hat. There were no pony tracks , and a man would bo In line business to try to rob a train and escape on a horse or mule ono and one-half miles away. Cowboys generally uoliovo that the brakcman fired some tramps and that they subsequently came cast on the same train. An Absolute Cure.
