Thcro wcro hardly enough cattle hero to
make n market , only nineteen fresh loads
being on sale. The light receipts had n stim
ulating effect upon the market which was
strong nnd 5o higher on dcsimblo grades.
About , all the desirable cattle here were sold
before the close.
HOUR.
The receipts of hogs wore heavy again to
day , although thcro was n falling off of about
llfty loads as compared with the day before.
The market opened quiet and the buyers gen
erally were bidding lower prices. In some
cases hogs soli ! as much ns Gc lower , but tak
ing the market ns a whole it could bo called
barely steady. The hogs wcro all sold by 1
o'clock , the market closing strong.

The invitation was accepled and , nfter the
necessary consent of the acting commander
of the brigade , Colonel Burrcll.waa obtained ,

dfr of the Second , ordered the Jattqr out on
tfloday In question. The order gave dls
satisfaction. Al the request of thrto divi
sions of the regime'nt , the commaijd was yes
terday countermanded. The objection" made
was ttflt it was not a Pythian day ; yiatmany
of the members belonged to other lodges
which would turn out in parade , and , besides
that the regiment had already been ordered
out to take part in battalion drill , and wit
ness the prize drill between Omaha nnd
Ulack Eagle divisions , which takes place that
afternoon in the base ball park.
