Hurry Nash has returned from n trip tent

The receipts of hops were the heaviest to

there were 10,514 received.
Among those who came in with cattle were
G , W. Mnttoon , Blue Springs ; H. McClel
land , Kcncsaw , and James Doyle , Millignn.
If reports nro to be believed the dehorning
of cattle , which haw been practiced to a great
extent among feeders during the year put > t ,
has been in most cases ontiicly satisfactory
and has been attended with very few losses ! .
However , such IB not nhvays the case , aa was
recently found in Illinois , where several
herds of cattle are likely to prove a total
loss through mortlllcution having set In after
the horns were removed. A day or two ago
a bunch of dehorned cattle was received roat
the yards here nnd it was noticed that very
few of them had entirely recovered from the
operation , In most cases the scars made by
the removal of the horns were matterated
and In very bud condition.
