Trade to-day was quiet except for green
and tropical fruits , which wcro moving off
freely. A car of Messina oranges came to
"hand and ware marked at from 1.75 to 14.25 ;
nnd a car of Messina lemons were placed on
the market at present prices. Itccclptoof
butter were fair , but the quality continues
poor , and prices , though unchanged , may bo
quoted weak. The warm weather has checked
the demand for poultry , nnd although the
receipts were light , sales were made oclow
yesterday's prices , and wo accordingly mark
inside quotations down a cent. Eggs took
another drop , as stocks are heavy and de
mand light. Good stocks of peed , home
grown onions are In good demand , and prices
are firm at the advance quoted. Potatoes are
unsettled , and It seems dlftlcult to obtain any
choice homo grown. Sales have been made
all the way from 85o to | 1 , and it is safe to
quote thorn , at IKX303C.

More Fast Drivers Arrested.
Two more reckless drivers huvo come to
grief. This time it is W. H. Robbins and H.
3. Jones , who wcro racing their horses
against that of a prominent Omaha real es
tate man yesterday afternoon. The race was
on Capitol avenue , and Sergeant Sigwart ,
who was a witness to it , tried to arrest all
thu parties concerned. Ho succeeded in cap
turing Robbins und Jones , but the renl es
tate man , who had u speedy horse , succeeded
in getting away. A warrant will be issued
for his arrest.

An Inquest was held lust evening over the
remains of John Schultz , the painter who
wus killed by u full from a scaffold on Tues
day afternoon. Five witnesses , three of
them his fellow-workmen , wcro examined.
Nothing now was produced In evidence , and
the verdict of , ttm jury was simply "acci
dental death. " It is thought , however , that
ho was seized with 0110 of his epileptic fits at
the time of the full. His remains still Iio at
the morgue awaiting the order of friends at
