( Special to the HUE. ] The young ladles of Fremont last night gave an ciitcrtiilninRnt at the Congre gational church for the bencllt of the blizzard sufTerors. There was n largo ami appre ciative niullcncc present ami a most excellent programme was rendered by homo talent. A little over $100 was netted from the untor- tnlmncnt. It was originally intended that the proceeds should go to Miss Shattuck , but aim having died they will probably be sent to Miss Unycu. The congregation of the First Christian church , together with n number of neighbors und friends , gave it musical and literary en tertainment und "pass aupper" last night in the Sunday school rooms of their churcb , the receipts of which will bo devoted to the HUE . fund for the benefit of Miss Koyco. There was n very complimentary turn-out , nnd quite n nice sum was raised for the unfortu nate heroine. The evening was most iiirreo- nbly passed. The recitations by Miss Josie Scott , Miss Annie Kobinson and Mr. Gcorgo T. Hurridgu were nbly rendered. Mr. U. H. " It is desired by the donors that Miss Lolo Uoyco recalvo the sum of $75.40 , nud Mists Minnie Freeman the sum of $13.85 , It was intended that Miss Shattuck should receive 17.70 , but her unfortunate death so changes the situation as to make It dcsirablo that the amount intended for hor-should go to Miss Uoycc , whose sad condition excites pity In every gcm-rous heart.
