Friday , Feb. 10 , 18SS.
The receipts of cat fie to-day wore moder
ate mid whllu there was n considerable quan
tity of butchers stock among the offerings ,
thcro was also some very good native steers.
The market opened slow with a very light
local demand. Packers here find It very
dlfllcult to obtain cars In which to ship
dccsscd meat and for that reason declined to
purchase. Thu shipping demand , however ,
was quite Rood anil considerable trailing was
done In the afternoon. One bunch of native
trers brought W.40 , the higucst prices paid.
'rices were about steady considering the
lass of cattle sold. Over one-half of the
ecclpts were left over.
flogs ) .
The receipts were liberal and the general
liiallty fair although thcro were no prime
icavy hops which would equal those of a few
days slni-o which sold for 15.80. Thu market
polled at yesterday's close and while values
fluctuated some the general feeling was
steady. Prices at the close wcro a llttlo
sasicr than the opening. The market closed
ate with several loads unsold. Ono choice
oad of 304-lb hogs sold at $5.05.
iS lH'Op.

bo to obtain beef to pack. Seventy-live head

the condition of the stock on the range , but
In no locality arc they doing better than in

the weather has been cold thcro has been no

at any time. All range stock arc fat , and old
timers say they never saw n more favorable
