The market opened about X&X ? elf , and after a few moments of brisk tradIng - Ing broke sharply another J/c , at which point a lar o number of buying orders wore struck and a lively battle ensued. Commission merchants generally were buyers , and the local crowd were free sellers. Very soon , however , selling orders began to come In from the ralned-on districts , and soon the majority of those who were the most cncr- Ri'tlc bulls yesterday got as pronouncedly on the other side of the fence. It must not bo Buppofied , however , that the country as a whole has turned bearish , for such Is not the case , and the stream of buying orders con tinued to pour in all day long from the out side.
