General Produce. TlicfollawliHi prices are fur round lota of produce , us sold on the market to-uay. llUTTr.il Thu receipts of good butter are very light and the market Is cleared. There Is a good demand for choice , sweet table butter , but there Is very little coming that can txi graded as such , and buyers have been compelled to take the poorer grades. On ac count of the scarcity of the choice grades poor butter has sold more readily than usual and at better prices. Dealers , however , must not expect to receive fancy prices for common stock. Choice country , IbS'JOe ; fair to good , 14i ( < lCc ; common , b@lOe. Koos At the present time the market may be said to be devoid of any new features. 1'he receipts continue heavy. There Is a good city demand while the shippers are taking all the surplus stock. The prevailing price is lOc , A good many dealers are anticipating lower prices when the inter-state commerce law goes Into effect. The new law will raise the rates between this point and the Pacllie coast from SI.05 to 83.00. This will tend to lower the market hero unless theie should chance to be an advance In thn Cali fornia markets , as shippers will require wider margins on which to ship. Local farmers are not bringing In as many and the outlook Is a little more encouraging. Tno retail dealers are mostly stocked up tor the time being , but stocks are not heavy. In some cases dealers are trying to get a little better prices for home grown than those quoted below. The trade Is confined almost entirely to the sale of small lota from the store and it would bo a dllllcult matter to close out car lots to a single buyer.
