opened rather slowly. Salesmen wanted

prices. The business of the day was done
not very actively , but prices were ns good as
yesterday. To offset the few who considered
prices stronger , there were others who con
sidered that values weio not so strong ns
Monday. A lot ot aw-lb distillery cattle sold
nt 83.40 , with 47 < H5-lb tailings at 83.85.
There were no fancy cattle among the
offerings to-day. Some very coed
llMG-lb steers sold nt 84.75 , but
