A successful piece of dutcclivo work was accomplished yesterday morning by cx-l'oliceman Nightingale , in the arrest of a man named Thomas Iliett. Ho had stolen several head of cattle near Cana , Dak. , and sold them to a butcher named Hull at that place. Hull.suspected that the cattle had bocn stolen , and after Hiett had left town followed , overtook and brought him back to Cana. He kept him there several days , and finally Iliett left with out receiving his money. In a short time Hull became assured the cattle were stolen , and the owner , a man aNo named Hull , determined to patch the thief. Iliett was tracked to Omaha , a couple of decoy letters sent him , one of which told him a cheek for the value of the cows would bo sent on a certain day. Night ingale watched at the general delivery of the postolnVi' , and yesterday inornini ; Iliett appeared and was promptly ar rested. Ho will be taken to Dakota.
