quite a favorite. Soon after Don Luis
came to this city to assume his new
duties , ho met and became acquainted
with Miss Wright , the daughter of the
late linmbleton Wright , u well known

Miss Wright is u beautiful , laughing
brunette. She is of medium height , ana
H possessed of a splondiil form. Her vi
vacious disposition , beauty mid grace
cautivited ttie heart of Don Luis , and
acquaintance soon ripened into love ,
which became mutual.
Hut their happiness was destined to be
short lived. A month or two ago tlic
seeds of consumption , which had been
been sown in the young man , began to
assert themselves. He was prostrated on
the bed , from whence IIP was never to
rise uhvo. During all his illness his dc-

the tenderness and solicitude of a wife.
