OMA1IA I/IVE STOCK.
Friday Evening , June 11.
General There has never been a time in
the history of the Omaha live stock market
When the prospect was as favorable as at the
present time. Not only mo the receipts of
stock Increasing , but I ho demand is moro
than keeping pace with the receipts , and the
only difficulty , just at present. Is to keen the
receipts up to the demand. The advent ot
new buyers has Incieased the demand and
produced a very healthy competition.
Cattle The receipts were light , and tlio
market was correspondingly dull. Values
remain about thu samu us jesteiday. There
Is a very fair demand lor choice dies.sed beef
cattle , nnd very few coming In.
Hogs 'llm market presented very lively
appearance to-day. There were n good many
buyers on the maikct anxious to pick up as
niany good loads as possible , and the compe
tition was strong. The market was a strong
be higher , and active at the advance. The
pens were cleared as rapidly as the hogs
conld bo run o\er the scales , and everything
was sold early In the day. Light and medium
weight hogs tire In the best demand , but
heavy ho s wild well to-day , a few heavy
hogs tlnown out wcio Mild at HID same prices
as tbo medium weights from which they were
Sheep The deniind is light and there Is
nothing doing in thu market.
