In accordance with instructions from the attorney general , United States Dis trict Attorney Lsimbortson some months ago set surveyors at work to ascertain the amount of government land held under fence by cattle companies in this .stale. Among the most greedy of the corporations in this respect was the Lakola Slock Hunch company , which held 00,000 acres in the northern scetion without the shadow of a title ; the War Buimclt Stock companywhich had 10,000 acres , and the Dakota Stock Ranch com pany , 10,000 acres. Mr. Lanibortson at once notified the offenders to remove the Illegal obstructions , or ho would call on the military to do it. Yesterday ho re ceived word that the Lakota company had taken down all its fence , and reeled up the wire for shipment , and that- the War IJonnoU and Dakota companies were doing a similar work. This is probably the lust of the fencing nuisance in Ne braska. UNITED STATES. COUIIT. The republican iiicmbtT.s had continued In session trom 10 a. in. , and it was tlio inten tion to have adjourned at 4 p. m. , unless the democrats put in an appearance. As the lut- ter hour approached and it had been learned that n mojority or tlic members would bo theioon tinu1 , the senate chamber filled up rapidly.
