STOCKS To-day stocks were extremely dull
and altogether featureless The apathy was
increased by the uncertainty that hung over
actions by the meeting of the presidents of
trunk lines , who were in session. Prices were
steady at the opening , and in some cases there
was a slight advance. This waa followed by
decline of J to J per cent , when the lowest
prices of the day were made. Closfng prices
are from i to § per cent higher than yesterday
for a number of the active list.
