STOCKS The moat prominent feature in to-
day'd stock market was the strength developed
n coal stocks. Licltawanna heads the list ,
opening at Sl.CO. It rose with only slight TO-
tctions , and closed with a Rain of 1J per cent ,
Delaware & Hudson ia up 2 per cent , and
Tereey Central shows a net gain of 1 per cent.
The remainder of the general list showa only
'rnctional gains. First price ? , as a rule , were
the lowest of the day and the highest prices
woo generally realizad by 2 o'clock , In the
forenoon the market was irrecalar , and only
moderatively active. After moving up and
down within a narrow range dating the fore
noon , it became moro decidedly strong alter
mid-day , but in the last hour developed ex-
rcmo dullness , accompanied by n slight re
action in quotations.
