STOCKS -Stocks continue dull , except for
three or four stocks , and prices are Irregular
and nt times feverish. The lowest prices were
made In moat cases durlrp the forenoon , bat
coal stocks touched still lower figures near 1
in the afternoon. Union Pacific rose In the
forenoon from 19jo to C2c , but yielded before
noon tolOjc. . The market was comparatively
steady for a tirao after midday , and became
extremely dull as the closing hour approached ,
Some show of strength was infused into the
final dealings , wbtch cartlod quotations as a
rule to the highest figures reached. Changes
this evening from final prices of yesterday are
generally for only small fractions. A special
dispatch from Chicago circulated this after
noon stated that grain had been shipped from
that city to New York at Ga per hundred.
