manlpalated to a certain extent , Outsider *
show a disposition to stand elf and await de
velopments. The market at the opening this
morning was somewhat irregular although o
mtjorlty of the Hit was lower. In early dealings -
ings time was a further decline , ranging from
par cent to i per cent , although Omaha pre
ferred yielded 1 per out anl Minnesota &

transaction ! . After the first hour the decline
was checked and the market was alternately
iteady and strong during the remainder of th )
day. Advancei from the lowut pricu were
generally within a rjoge of 1 psr coat. Dla
patches received from Chicago daring the
afternoon stated that there were rumors ot a
ten cent grain rate to New York , nnd that the
demoralization WAS extending to higher claioea
of freight. It la believed n large thipment Is
to be made at an early datj by rail for export
at the low rate maintained.
