ally dull and featureless. At the opening
this morning prices were etroner. In early
dealings thera was a very slight advance from
the first prices , followed by a reaction amount
ing to as much as 1 per cant in two or three
cases , and fractional amounts for the rest ol
the list. Alter midday the market became
exceedingly dull and steady , but with a slighl
tendency upward , and so continued until late
in the last hour , when there waa a slight de
cline , followed by a reaction In closing tranr < -
