Stocks After a decided break in yester
day's stock market unusual Intertst was felt
this morning in the course of yriccs , but noth
ing important occurred until Into this after ,
noon. First prices were rather heavy , and
during the forenoon , on slight fluctuations ,
there was a decline ranging from lc to lc for
active stocks. The lowest prices were made
soon after noon , and the market then became
steady to strong , but without any material in
crease in butineaa until alter 1 o'clock , Wba
at first was only a slight advance developed
during the last hour Into a general upward
movement , the advances in that time amount
ing to in some cases na much as lc , and to
