Stocks have not developed a single new
feature of interest to-day. Prices were strong
with slight reactions until about 10 o'clock ,
when the highest quotations of the dny were
generally reached by the comparatively active
stocks , the gains amounting to J@l per cent.
In the next hour there was a moderate reac
tion , during which about one-half of the pre
tioua gains were lost. Between 2 nnd 3o'clock
extreme dullness was the feature , the most
prominent prices remaining until the close ,
with fluctuations of 4@ } per cent. The clos-
in quotations , however , indicated heaviness
in most of the active stocks.
