Trade in Omaha during the past week has been fairly active and prices fair. Taken altogether trade and prices wore about the same as last week. lleceipts of live stock , principally hogs , nt the union stock yards have been liberal this v cek , As compared with this time last weak hoga are 5@10c lower ; sheep are steady at the same price ; butchers' stock is in fair demand nnd prices rule a shade higher , The butter market has changed considerably this week and grown dcmoralizad. lleceipts have been extra heavy nnd there is n glut of nil grades. The greater part has to bo dis posed of to packers , who have decidedly the advantage and buy at their own prices alto gether , which range 3g7c. Fggi , however , are a little stronger , nnd prospects favor an advance. Spring chickens ore coming in more freely , but are very small. Sugars have declined J@Jc from last week's prices. Business excellent. Dry gaoda active nnd prices are slightly lower.
