Stocks Were firm at the opening and the first prices generally n small fraction higher than at the close last evening , Vanderbilts wore an exception to this rule and the break in New York Central and Lake Shore im mediately after the opening extended IB the early dealings to the rest of the list. Gould stocks were well supported throughout the day. The early decline in New York Gen tral from last evening amounted to Gfjc , while Lalto Shore fell 2jjc.
