The merchants .generally are greatly encouraged and predict even better trade in the near future. The live atock receipts aa compared with laat week are about the tame , although not equal to the demand. The price > f hoga changcj slightly , while sheep are quoted at 93,25 to $3.75 , aa compared with $3 00 to 3 76 last week. Fat steers , averag- ng 1,000 to 1,160 pounds , are 25c lower. Barley drops 5c nnd rye 3c , but corn and oats are steady at Cc higher than last week. 3ran is C and lOo higher , slid chopped feed goes up to 9Dc. Keg receipts are very liberal and indication point to lower prices all summer. The ( re ceipts nf butter are light , while choice and good table butter remain scarce. In sugar prices are down from J@ic on near y all gradea. Ordinary grades of coffee are 1 to 14c lower , and ( air to good Ic lower. Gro cers report trade as very good. But ( ew other changes ore noted and busi ness in all other branches of trade baa been as ; oed and in some caaea better than the pre vious week.
