the market has been dull to-day. Gould

ment. In somu cases this evening prices
were the lowest for the day , but in the more
active stocks final quotations show an advance

all kinds of grain , Bailey remains steady in
prica und moderate demand. The recaipts

vanced from 25 to EOc over last week. Lum
ber la fairly alive with business , lumber mer-
ihanta having their handj full to keep up
with the trado. The commission merchants
cty that trade in the general produce line is
first rate. Poultry old "live" meet with fair
sales , and i-pring chickens are scarce nnd in
strong request. The season for "dressed" is
nearly over and but little coming in. In eggs
the receipts are moderate and not moro than
equal to the demand at steady pricie. The
receipts of butter has been very light and de-
mnud brisk for good table butter. All other
branches of trad < > report a good business.
