Stocks The market waa heavy at the open
ing this morning1 , both bulls and bears Bulling.
The early dealings were accompanied by a
decline of J@Jc , This was followed by n
moderate reaction , and for the first hour the
market became very dull and fluctuations
were limited to a narrow range , but the ten
dency wta toward lower quotations until after
1 o'clock. A little moro life waa then accom
panied by a show of strength , a portion of
which wan lost later In the day , and the mar
ket finally closed irregular at prices which
ro from @ 1 | lower than the final quotations
yesterday. The only activity was developed
during the first two hours. Business there
after grow extremely dull as the day ad
vanced ,
