Thia w g accepted by Dr. Sewers but ruled out af terwards , Some tlmo was spent in arpulng parliamentary points , many members volun teering valuable informal ! on to Mr. Burr as to how ho should rule. Numerous points of order were taken , some tnstainod , others over ruled , but finally thu committee got down to huaintfts , and till 12:30 : vigorously discussed the lesneclivo merits of the commission bill and freight bi I. Senator Brown led off with the remark that a commission was u mere whitewashing committott with bi ? ralaries , with secretaries at big salarioj , Thuy call this regulating freight. Senator Hiwo of cuum followed Senator lirowo , nnd being pretty wall primed on thu workings of railroad commissions , argued earnestly.
