progress at the stock exchange to-day , and
there was considerable pressure to neil coal

could not agree on the question of percentage

The produce market to-day was very quiet
and little business was done. For chickens
there is little or no demand nnd prices rule
very low , Turkeys are still strong nnd were
selling to-day from 12@13 cents per pound ,
There are very few turkoyu in the market , the
Christmas trade having exhausted the supply.
Dealers are not looking for any decline in the
price of turkeys and some of them say that
they think it will bo difficult to find turkeys
enough to supply the New Year's trade. The
apple market Is firm and prices have advanced
slightly. Good stock Is quoted nt # 2 75@3 25
per barrel.
