Western Union varied from 53J at the top to D1J at the lowest price , and closed nbout J below last night. Tinckawanna was as high n < < 107 } , and sold at 2 per cont. below. The final prices were near 10G. It was reported that the "Plymouth church calico crowd" would put It 1 to 110 , nnd the shorts were hold in chock. < , . Lake Shore was the point of interest because of the meeting of directors , nnd they declared n dividend of 1J instead of 2 per cont. The deficiency for six months Is over 57,000,000. cl : The stock opened this morning J above last night , nnd sold to 75 , then to 72J , and later at 731. Burlington closed fractionally lower than laat night. Illinois Central was 1 per cent , better at the highest price and 1J better j ? , than the lowest price nnd 1J bettor than the < 1 lowest figure of the day. Northwestern varied * 2 per cent. , and closed nt the lowest range of prices. St. Paul was off 2 per cent , from the last price of the day.
