Alderman Bowles has had a complaint
lodged against him for carelessness in
handling a horso. Ho claims it was amore

The council hns now poised the ordi
nance requiring those hauling dirt to use
tight wagons and ondgatos to keep the
dirt from rattling off into the street nlong
which they pass.
The county hoard is in session nt the
court house. Thus far the business has
boon confined to the cqualirationof taxes ,
reviewing the assessor's books- and set
tling up with the county treasury.
Patrick Honcfor was arrested yesterday -
day on a charge of beating B. H. Alli
son out of a board bill. Ho was n little
full and was lodged in jail to got sober
enough for trial , before Justice Abbott.

Mary E. Butler has commenced on no
tion of divorce against her husband , J.
M. Butler. She claims that they were

has not only become too much given to

Mrs. Eugene Mottaz received a telegram -

quorum Monday evening. It is a nlmmo
