when the bank statement was issued , the mar
ket bocatno very nctlvo and strong. Tlio ex
hibit was unexpectoifly favorable. Buying for
London nnd the continent larger to-day than
for a week past , and not confined to any spe
cial stock , There were reactions nt Intervals ,
but oacli decline brought in fresh order * . In
advances , Missouri Pacific , Northwestern , St.
Paul , Lackawanna , Louisville & Nashville ,
Union Pacific , and Western Union were the
moat prominent ; near close Jersey Central
weakened and general list reacted slightly
but left oir strong. Compared with Thursday
