gant system of protection assert that it

and on the inatiumcnts of production

higher in this country In thu industries
not afloat cd by protection , in agriculture ,

porting manufactures. They are lowest
m the protected industries , and wretch
edly low in many of thene. As consum
ers , the laboring classes are the chief
sufferers from the existing taxes It U |
